Diana Dziekan-Skuza was born in Poland, in 1977 and came to New York along with her husband in 2000.
She graduated from Business College, even though she had always felt attracted to music and the arts – especially photography.
Diana’s main interest is portraiture photography which is sometimes connected with taking pictures at family and other social events but she also photographs landscapes and architecture.
My best pictures have always been those of my family and friends. Usually they are color photographs. I don’t have any favorite places where I like to take the pictures, I just take my camera anywhere I go and wait for the opportunity to take a good shot.
A few of her photos have been published in Polish daily news: “Nowy Dziennik” and also in Polish-American newspaper “Biały Orzeł” (“White Eagle”).
Diana showcased her work twice: at Skulski Art Gallery and Consulate General of Poland in Manhattan - a group exhibition “Salon 2008” – organized by the Polish-American Photographic Club of which she is a member.
